From September, 24th until October, 2nd 2010 the Computer Chess World Championship has taken place in Kanazawa, Japan. Computer chess programs and their authors from all over the world came to Japan to compete for the world title.
Shredder managed to win the World Computer Chess Software Championship title undefeated with 8 points out of 9 rounds. All programs had to run on equal hardware to find out about the best computer chess software. Winning his 13th world champion title Shredder remains the most successful chess program ever.
